The Beatles played two gigs at The Cavern with lunch-time and noght-time engagements. Although he didn’t know it yet, these would be Pete Best’s last gigs as a Beatle.

While The Beatles were in Hamburg, Brian Epstein returned to London to follow up on his earlier, February, meetings with George Martin. The two meet at Abbey Road where Martin agrees to setting up an audition for The Beatles with EMI/Parlaphone in early June after their return from Hamburg.
