Video - The Beatles At The Cavern
Presenting the first of what is planned to be a weekly series of video clips featuring The Beatles.
Kicking off with a performance of Some Other Guy at The Cavern during the lunch time gig on 22nd August 1962. This particular performance was filmed by Granada TV (the local North of England broadcaster who covered the Liverpool and Manchester area) for a program called Know The North, but due to the poor lighting conditions was considered too grainy for broadcast and only shown over a year later on 6th November 1963 on a show called Scene at 6:30, after The Beatles were gaining national recognition.
The performance was just a week after Ringo had replaced Pete Best on drums and if you listen carefully at the end of the clip you can hear a few people in the crowd shouting “We want Pete!.”
