The Beatles played a lunch time gig at The Cavern.
During its second week on the UK pop charts, Love Me Do climbed three spots to #46.
As could be expected the previous day’s issue of Mersey Beat had placed Love Me Do at the #1 poistion on its list of “Merseyside Tops.”
