New Beatles Album On The Way?
Apple have announced that an album featuring “completely new music” by The Beatles is in production and is scheduled to be release to coincide with the opening later this summer of the new Las Vegas show at the Mirage Hotel by Cirque Du Soleil.

According to Neil Aspinall of Apple, the show “involves the creation, by the re-mixing and re-mastering of the Beatles’ recorded performances, of completely new music, which will be featured in the show, and which should lead to the release of the show album.”

The producers will have the pick of the Beatles’ catalogue, as well as access to unreleased archival material, including 200 hours of recorded conversations between the Beatles in the recording studio. Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, are helping to shape the production, but will not appear on stage. Sir George Martin, the producer of the Beatles’ records, is overseeing the music.
