Beatles Story Gets a Wiki

The Beatles Story musuem is calling on friends worldwide to help create the first on-line, fully interactive encyclopaedia devoted solely to The Beatles.

Based on Wiki software which allows multiple on-line users to submit and edit shared content, the Beatles Story aims to make this the number 1 site for all Beatles resources.

“The Beatles Story has spent the past 12 months developing the website,” says Beatles Story Director, Jerry Goldman. “We experience numerous questions and enquiries about The Beatles, which gave us the idea to create a shared pool of information – and most importantly the Beatles Story Wiki is free to use and fully accessible to a world wide audience.”

The Beatles Story Wiki is a combination of written content, images, sound recordings and live interviews. The Wiki allows fans to ‘get under the skin’ of The Beatles and learn more about the Liverpool they grew up in. The Beatles Story are currently developing the site to cover The Beatles’ lives from 1957-1963.

The Beatles Story Wiki is now open to submissions from the general public. “It is essential Beatles fans across the world help us build the encyclopaedia so the legacy of The Beatles can be shared for years to come,” said Janine.
