Another busy Friday for The Beatles, starting off with the second of that week’s lunch time gigs at The Cavern Club.
In the afternoon the boys headed across the Mersey to start their evening with a second gig at The Grosvener Ballroom in Liscard. This turned out to be the last date ever arranged for the band by their original manager, Allan Williams. Despite their busy schedule and high demand from promoters, Williams had only managed to secure the two gigs at The Grosvener since their return from Hamburg three months ago.
With that gig over, it was back across the river to complete the evening at the St. John’s Hall in Tuebrook.
