BEATLES – Day By Day – 2/13/62

While The Beatles played another lunch-time gig at The Cavern in Liverpool, Brian Epstein was in London having his first meeting with Parlaphone Records producer George Martin. Epstein played Martin the 78rpm acetate discs of the Decca audition that had been made at the Oxford Street HMV store the previous week. Martin did not seem overly impressed but concluded the meeting by stating that it might be worth seeing the group in person at some point. No dates were set for any potential follow up.
