BEATLES Day By Day – 2/11/61
Saturday 11th February, 1961
The Beatles started this Saturday evening with a repeat performance at Lathom Hall in Seaforth.
From there they went on to a gig at The Cassanova Club at its new location on London Road in Liverpool. This would be the first gig of many that The Beatles played for local promoter Sam Leach. Leach became instrumental in helping build the Beatles reputation on Merseyside in these early years, and would write about his experiences in his book, The Birth Of The Beatles (published as “The Rocking City” in the US) .
