Local Non-Listening Event
Even though I’d already listened to the preview MP3s of Memory Almost Full I decided to stop in at my local Starbucks on the way to the day job this morning, just to participate in the much promoted “Global Listening Event.”
The staff had the volume so low that you couldn’t actually hear what was playing – it was just a background buzz. Other than a small stack of four CDs by the register and the McCartney sign on the door you wouldn’t have known that today was the big event.
I’m sure that wasn’t the effect that Starbucks corprate or Paul McCartney were after.
