According to a report in today’s New York Post the Starbucks Coffee chain is considering expanding its music operations beyond offering compilation albums through its stores, like the recent John Lennon release, and establishing a record label to release original material. According to the report the company is targetting Paul McCartney to be its launch artist, possibly with his next album, as Paul is not currently signed with any existing record label.
