Fest For Beatles Fans – Day 2
Yesterday was a full day of activities at the second day of the Fest For Beatles Fans with the more fans arriving to enjoy the sights and sounds. The day kicked off with presentations by authors Paul Saltzman (The Beatles In India) and Joshua Greene (Here Comes The Sun) followed by on-stage appearances by special guests Tony Barrow and Klaus Vorrmann.
The music started with a bang around 4:30 with an appearance by Pete Best And Band, followed with a highly popular “Sound-Alike†contest judged by audience reaction. The always entertaining Mark Hudson followed and in his own unique style told some great stories about working with Ringo and Paul.
The hard working Liverpool tribute band followed their own set by staying on stage to support Peter and Gordon plus a tribute to Billy Preston that neatly segued into follow on performances with Klaus Voorman and Mark Hudson.
