The Beatles played a gig at the Town Hall Ballroom in Dodington near the town of Whitchurch in Shropshire.
At around 6:15pm their recorded perfomance of Please, Please Me aired on that’s nights transmission ofABC TV’s Thank Your Lucky Stars, giving the Beatles their biggest TV audience to date.
