George Harrison’s hand written lyrics for his classic song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” sold at auction on Monday for $300,000. The lyrics are the earliest known version of the song and contains several lines which were not included on the final recorded version as heard on the 1968 “White Album.”

According to a report on the UNCUT website, A guitar played by George Harrison at the height of his Beatles career sold yesterday at a music auction for a massive £115, 000. ($226,000) Harrison played his Maston MS-500 Mastersound guitar in 1963, just as Beatle-mania was starting.
