BEATLES – Day By Day – 8/19/63

Monday, 19 July, 1963

Continuing their “seaside tour,” The Beatles arrive in Bournemouth on the south coast of England for another six night engagement. This time playing two houses a night at the Gaumont Cinema.

At some point during the residence (the exact day isn’t known” photographer Robert Freemen shoots various pictures at the band’s hotel, including the famous iconic half-shadow portraits used on the their second UK album “With The Beatles,” and their first US album “Meet The Beatles” (and also referenced in the header of this very blog.)
