The Beatles perform for two “houses” at Queen’s Hall, in Leeds, The first signs of Beatlemania are starting to show with a crowd of 3,200 crammed into Queen’s Hall to see them. Fans press against towards the stage which is guarded by stewards linking their arms (one is bitten by a fan), fans crawl under the stage which is 5 feet high, and girls in the audience are screaming, a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly frequent during Beatles performances.
