The Beatles made played their first night time gig at The Cavern Club on Matthew Street as part of the line up for the BLUE GENES GUEST NIGHT.
The Blue Genes headed the bill with The Beatles as one of the three support acts alongside Dale Roberts and the Jay Walkers and the Remo 4. According to a small classified advert that ran in the Liverpool Echo admission was 2/- (2 shillings) for Cavern Club members and 4/- (4 shillings) for visitors to enjoy “this great four band line up.”
