The second part of the Helen Shapiro Tour kicked off at the Granada Cinema on West Gate in the Nottinghamshie town of Mansfield.
before going on stage The Beatles crowded into star Helen Shapiro’s dressing room to watch the broadcast of their perfomance on ABC’s Thank Your Lucky Stars that had been taped on 17th February.
“Please Please Me/Ask Me Why” (Parlophone 4983) reaches No.1 on the “Disc” chart in the U.K, the first No.1 record for The Beatles.
