BEATLES Day By Day 2/17/61
Friday 17th February, 1961
On this Friday evening The Beatles played at a new venue, The St. John’s Hall on Snaefell Avenue in the Tuebrook area of Liverpool.
Pete Best’s mother, Mona Best (owner of the Casbah Coffee Club), sometimes also promoted dances at this venue not far from their home in West Derby. As Mona was almost acting as the de-facto manager for the group by this time, they recieved a larger than usual pay packet for this gig.
