Following their early morning partying in London The Beatles once more crowded into the van for the long and uncomfortable journey back to Liverpool. The trip took so long that they arrived in Liverpool late for their advertised gig at The Hambleton Hall in Huyton and only had time to perform a 15 minute set. The promoters were less than pleased when they were still asked to hand over the full 15 Pound appearance fee.
One other person who was less than impressed with the unprofessional behavior was Brian Epstein, who was also waiting at the Huyton venue hoping to see the group perform. he was now aware just how hard he would have to work to change the four unruly rockers into polished professional artists.
