BEATLES – Day By Day – 10/8/62

The Beatles were originally scheduled to play a lunch time gig at The Cavern, but this was cancelled so they could head down to London to tape an interview for Radio Luxembourg.
The interview was taped at EMI House on Manchester Square in London for the EMI sponsored show The Friday Spectacular. An audience of 100 teenagers was gathered to listen to The Beatles being interviewed about the release of Love Me Do. Even though the band were in the studio they didn’t play live. The recorded versions of Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You were played with the audience’s appluase taped for the transmission later in the week.
