Allthough the Beatles catalog is still not available for download, as of last week the Fab Four’s solo work was. On October 9th iTunes started to offer tracks from nine of George Harrison’s albums with others to follow later this year. iTunes already offers downloads of solo work by Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Ringo Starr.

Tuesday, 9th October, 1962 With no engagements booked, The Beatles celebrated John Lennon’s 22nd Birthday by staying over in London visiting freelance music journalists and several pop music papers to promote teh release of Love Me Do.
Monday, 8th October, 1962 The Beatles were originally scheduled to play a lunch time gig at The Cavern, but this was cancelled so they could head down to London to tape an interview for Radio Luxembourg.
