The Beatles played a lunch time gig at The Cavern before travelling the 45 miles to Crewe for a night time session at the Majestic Ballroom on the town’s High Street. This Top Rank owned venue billed its beat nights as “The Biggest Rock Since Blackpool Rock.”

Saturday, 11th August, 1962
The Beatles played at the Odd Spot Club on Bold Street in Liverpool city center, a venue they had last played in March.
Over at The Beatles Story website they have posted the full scedule for the International Beatles Week events to be held in Liverpool from Wendesday 22nd August to Tuesday 28th August.
Events include tribute shows, a 1960s style all-nighter at The Cavern, a Convention and lots of Beatles realted goodies for sale.
Friday, 10th August, 1962
The Beatles were back on board the MV Royal Iris for another “Riverboat Shuffle” event as the ferry steamed around the River Mersey. This time they shared top billing with Johnny Kidd & The Pirates. Also appearing on the bill were The Dakotas (before the became Billy J. Kramer’s backing band.)

The Beatles took a break from their usual Wednesday evening at The Cavern in favor of a 86 mile trip across the Pennines to Yorkshire for a gig at the Co-Op Ballroom, on St. Sepulcher Gate in Doncaster.
No real reason for posting this, other than I came across it on YouTube and it just made me smile.
Also the fact that I Saw Here Standing There was the first Beatles songs I tried to learn on the bass means it has a special place on my personal Beatles playlist.
