Virgin Radio in the UK will have the first broadcast of the new LOVE album on November 15th at 11:00pm (UK time). The album will be played without interruption and will aslo be streamed to the internet on the station’s website. The new LOVE album arrives in stores on November 20th
Wednesday, 8th November, 1961 The Beatles played a night time gig at The Cavern. According to some sources Brian Epstein called The Cavern today asking for a VIP pass. However it is almost certain that it was Mersey Beat founder and editor Bill Harry who facilitated Epstein’s entry into the club the next day.
According to various reports Paul McCartney’s original hand written lyrics for “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” are to be included in an upcoming auction of rock memorabilia in New York and are expected to fetch between $200,000 and $300,000.
