VIDEO – The Beatles on Who.

I knew about this,,,but this is the first time I’ve seen any footage. The Beatles doing a cameo guest appearence on Doctor Who.

This is from the Dr. Who serial “The Chase”, originally broadcast in 1965, and is the only surviving footage of this performance of “Ticket To Ride” which was done specifically for the “Doctor Who” cameo. The rest was destroyed during the BBC’s infamous “tape purge” in the early 1970s.
Interesting that the Ian Chesterton character appears to know a Beatles song that was recorded two years after he left Earth to start his travels with The Doctor.
