Queen snubs Paul For Laura Palmer ?
I’m in the middle of a marathon viewing of Twin Peaks in preperation for writing a review of the new definitive DVD collection of this enigmatic TV show for the RevolutionSF website.
This morning on one of the special feature documentries I heard a Paul McCartney story I had never heard before. Apparently during a studio session working with Twin Peaks composer, Angelo Badalamenti. Paul told the following story.
Apparently Paul had been invited to perform at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s birthady and had prepared and rehearsed a 35 minute set, but just as he sat at the piano and got ready to play, the Queen arose and headed out of the room explaining that it was time for that week’s episode of Twin Peaks and she couldn’t miss it.
