Quarrymen Feature In Beatle Week
according to the icLiverpool website next month’s BEATLE WEEK celebrations in Liverpool is going back in time – in true tradition. The event, which attracts 300,000 visitors each year, is getting better all the time and there are some extra-special gigs this year. It will feature bands and artists from more than 45 countries entertaining fans from all over the world.
Says a spokesman: “The emphasis this year is on those contemporaries of the Beatles that helped shape and mould their music.
“There’s The Quarrymen – featuring four of the original members of John Lennon’s school band. And Tony Sheridan who backed the Beatles (sic)Â and recorded with them in Hamburg.”
