<p>In Studio Two at EMI&#8217;s Abbey Road Studios, The Beatles record the songs for their next single, &#8220;<em>She Loves You&#8221; </em>and <em>&#8220;I&#8217;ll Get You&#8221; </em>(under the working title &#8220;Get You In the End&#8221;). EMI will issue &#8220;She Loves You/I&#8217;ll Get You&#8221; (Parlophone 5055) on August 23. As a result of The Beatles&#8217; recording schedule been published in the weekly pop papers, a large crowd had gathered outside EMI&#8217;s Abbey Road Studios, and the police had to be summoned twice.</p>

<p>The opening night of the <strong>Roy Obrison Tour,</strong> the third tour for the Beatles in only 5 months. Due to demand The Beatles are moved up to joint headliners alongside Orbison. The Beatles&#8217; song list for this tour is &#8220;<em>Some Other Guy,&#8221; &#8220;Do You Want to Know a Secret,&#8221; &#8220;Love Me Do,&#8221; &#8220;From Me to You,&#8221; &#8220;Please Please Me,&#8221; &#8220;I Saw Her Standing There,&#8221; </em>and <em>&#8220;Twist and Shout.&#8221; </em>Also on the tour bill are Gerry &#038; the Pacemakers, Tony Marsh, the Terry Young Six, Erkey Grant, Ian Crawford, David Macbeth, and Louise Cordet.</p>
<p>Opening night is two shows at the <strong>Adelphi Cinema</strong> in <strong>Slough.</strong> Before the show, Gerry Marsden of the Pacemakers presents The Beatles with their second silver disc, for &#8220;<em>From Me to You.</em></p>

<p>In Studio Two, of <strong>EMI&#8217;s Abbey Road Studios, London</strong>, The Beatles record &#8220;<em>From Me to You</em>&#8221; just five days after John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote the song. Originally intended for the B-side of their second single, it is switched to the A-side with &#8220;<em>Thank You Girl</em>&#8221; on the B-side. They record &#8220;<em>From Me to You</em>&#8221; (13 takes) and &#8220;Thank You Little Girl&#8221; later changed to &#8220;<em>Thank You Girl</em>,&#8221; (13 takes). The Beatles record &#8220;<em>The One After 909</em>&#8221; (5 takes) but none are considered good enough for release. They will eventually be released as part of the <em>Anthology</em> project.</p>
