With the recording session completed The Beatles returned to the Olympia Theatre for two more evening shows.

In Studio Two of EMI’s Abbey Road Studios, London, the Beatles work on the final session for their second album “With the Beatles.” The Beatles record the final take of “I Wanna Be Your Man.” After overseeing the mixing of this song, along with “Little Child,” and “Hold Me Tight,” The Fab Four fly to Sweden in preparation for their first foreign tour.

The Beatles start the day at the EMI Abbey Road Studios in London without George. During the morning Ringo ovedubs vocals for I Wanna Be Your Man.

George arrives back from his visit to the US around lunch time and the group moves over to the NEMS Enterprises London offices on Monmouth Street for a radio interview. The interview was for a the BBC spoken word magazine program The Public Ear. This particular show, scheduled to be broadcast on November 3rd, was devoted to The Mersey Beat and also included interviews with Bill Harry (founder of Mersey Beat), Pete Best and Millie Sutcliffe (Stuart’s mother).

After the interview was taped Ringo drove to Southend to see a show featuring The Everly Brothers, Bo Diddley and The Rolling Stones.

Still at EMI Studio Two at Abbey Road, The Beatles started the day by recording four speech messages to be used on Australian radio to promote their upcoming tour there.

Work then resumed on recording “With The Beatles,” with more takes of “Hold Me Tiger,” “Don’t Bother Me,” “Little Child,” and “I Wanna be Your Man.”

The Beatles are at Studio Two in EMI’s Abbey Road studios, in London, working on songs for their second album “With the Beatles.” They record “I Wanna Be Your Man” with Ringo on lead vocal (1 take), “Little Child” (2 takes), “All I’ve Got to Do,” (15 takes), “Not a Second Time” (9 takes) and George’s composition “Don’t Bother Me” (7 takes).

The Beatles left Bournemouth early in the morning to arrive at EMI’s Studio Three in London by 10:00am to continue mixing and editing songs for their upcoming album.

The Beatles left mid-afternoon to return to Bournemouth for two more evening shows at the Gaumont Cinema.

The Beatles in Studio Two at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios record songs for their second album. The Beatles work on their album songs in the morning (10:00 am-1:30 pm) and then again through the evening (5:00 pm-11:00 pm).

During the morning session, The Beatles record nine takes of “Please Mr. Postman” and 10 takes of “It Won’t Be Long.” In the evening session, George Martin records his piano overdub for “Money” (which had been recorded by The Beatles on July 18), then The Beatles tape 5 more takes of “Till There Was You” (adding to the takes from July 18), 8 takes of “Roll Over Beethoven,” 13 more takes of “It Won’t Be Long,” and 13 takes of “All My Loving.”

Between the sessions of this day, The Beatles head over to the Playhouse Theatre in London to record six songs for the BBC radio program “Saturday Club.” The songs: “Long Tall Sally,” “She Loves You,” “Glad All Over,” “Twist and Shout,” “You Really Got a Hold On Me,” and “I’ll Get You.”

While at the BBC, The Beatles also tape an interview for the BBC radio program “Non Stop Pop,” for its “Pop Chat” segment.

The Beatles start the day in London attending a recording session for The Fourmost who are recording the Lennon & McCartney song “Hello Little Girl.”

After the recording session they return to the South West for the third gig at the Odeon cinema in Weston.

At EMI’s Abbey Road Studios, in London The Beatles begin recording songs for their second album. They tape four songs, all cover versions: 11 takes of “You Really Got a Hold On Me”; 7 takes of “Money”; six takes of “Devil In Her Heart,” and 3 takes of “Till There Was You.”

In Studio Two at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios, The Beatles record the songs for their next single, “She Loves You” and “I’ll Get You” (under the working title “Get You In the End”). EMI will issue “She Loves You/I’ll Get You” (Parlophone 5055) on August 23. As a result of The Beatles’ recording schedule been published in the weekly pop papers, a large crowd had gathered outside EMI’s Abbey Road Studios, and the police had to be summoned twice.
