<p>Before the Beatles performed two more houses of <em>The Beatles Christmas Show</em> at the <strong>Astoria Cinema </strong>in <strong>Finsbury Park,</strong> George and Ringo taped a segment for the <strong>BBC radio </strong>show <em>The Public Ear.</em></p>
<p>The segment took the form of an audio letter encouraging listeners to listen to the American R&#038;B artists that had influenced the Beatles themselves and was broadcast on the 12th January.</p>

Paul and Ringo headed off together for a break in Greece. They would be out of the country until October 2nd.</p>

<p>According to <a href="http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071019/FREE/71019009/1530/FREE" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071019/FREE/71019009/1530/FREE&amp;referer=');">Autoweek </a><span id="intelliTXT">Â a <a href=" http://www.rmauctions.com/CarDetails.cfm?CarID=r197&#038;SaleCode=LF07">platinum-colored <strong>Aston Martin DB5</strong> once owned by the late <strong>George Harrison </strong></a>is expected to fetch $250,000 to $300,000 when it crosses the auction block in London late this month.</p>
<p>The car was built in 1964 and delivered to then-Beatle Harrison on Jan. 1, 1965, according to <a href="http://www.rmauctions.com/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.rmauctions.com/?referer=');">RM Auctions Inc</a>., which is holding the Oct. 30 and 31 sale in partnership with Sotheby&#8217;s.</p>
<p>The car is unrestored, according to RM. After Harrison, a Tokyo museum owned the Aston. Then it was bought in 1997 and shipped to Germany, the auction company said.<br />

<p>The new exhibition space will be created in the basement adjacent to the venue which is currently vacant.Â  The management is confident that the new facilities will be ready for the start of Liverpool 08.Â  The new attractions will include rooms celebrating the solo careers of <strong>George Harrison</strong> and <strong>Ringo Starr</strong>, space for temporary exhibitions and a â€œhands-onâ€ interactive childrenâ€™s learning centre</p>
