The end of an era. The Beatles last performance at the Cavern Club, the venue that became synonymous with their early career. In two and a half years they played at the Matthew Street club in the heart of Liverpool city center close to 300 times.

The Beatles played another lunch time gig at The Cavern before heading over the River Mersey to Birkenhead for a show at the Majestic Ballroom. Such was the demand for tickets at the Majestic that the Fab Four played two seperate shows at the same venue, one starting at 8:00pm and a second one at 11:00pm.
