BEATLES – Day By Day – 8/30/62

Thursday, 30th August, 1962

The Beatles played a lunch time gig at The Cavern before heading out to Chester for a night time engagement at the city’s Riverpark Ballroom off Love Street. The Beatles, described on the events poster as “The North’s No 1 Rock Combo” headlined an evening of “Non-Stop Twsit & Jive” starting  at 7:30pm and running to 11:00pm. Joining them on the bill was “Mr. Personality Himself” Gerry Marsden & The Pacemakers. The event was compered, and possibly promoted, by Cavern DJ Bob Wooler.
