BEATLES – Day By Day – 7/27/61

The Beatles played two gigs today, the first was another lunchtime session at The Cavern.
In the evening The Beatles played at the St. John’s Hall in Tuebrook where they were joined on the bill by The Big Three. The Big Three were the remaining members of Cass and The Cassanovas renamed after founder Brian Casser had left the group and moved to London.
The Beatles also provided back up for Priscilla White, a coat check girl from The Cavern who occasionally performed as a singer at local clubs. She would go on to be better known as Cilla Black.
