This Sunday’s gig at the Casbah Coffee Club would be The Beatles last gig in Liverpool for fifteen weeks as they were scheduled to return to Hamburg the following week for their second round of appearences in the German city.
The Beatles had so far played an astonishing 87 gigs at various venues around Liverpool in just the first 85 days of 1961.
