The Beatles played an evening gig at the Memorial Hall in Northwich, before racing back up to New Brighton to play at the Tower Ballroom where they’d been a last minute addition to the bill. The Fab Four had been added to the Tower Ballroom event just the day before in an attempt by the promoters to increase poor ticket sales.
