Fest For Beatles Fans – Day 1
The Fest For Beatles Fans got off to a great start last night as hundreds of Beatles aficionados descended on the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Chicago’s O’Hare airport. Filling 15 meeting rooms across three floors of the hotel “The Fest” has something for every Beatles fan. Most of the action was around the lobby level and the main Ballroom with panels featuring the various guest authors and musicians followed by a 1960’s style dance party with music supplied by excellent tribute band “Liverpool.â€Â
The downstairs Market Place has every type of Beatles collectible that you could possibly want. Next door to that is a Guest Gallery where authors are happy to chat and sign copies of their books. Various Forums covered topics such as Collecting The Beatles, Fan Fiction, The Beatles “Love†show, The Beatles In Comics as wellas Name That Tune and Beatles Trivia quizzes.

I had hoped to Blog live throughout the day, but the wireless connection downstairs in the “Guest Gallery†area is non-existent, so I’ll be doing a few daily summaries instead.
